I'm looking for the smallest backpack that will hold the following:

20D
300mm F/4L (9" lens)
70-200mm f2.8 (8" lens)
50mm
1.4x TC

This LowePro Micro Trekker 200 looks like it might just about fit it, with interior dimensions of 10.5"W x 5"D x 12.5"H.

Does anyone have this bag and if so, what do you think of it?

Any other suggestions in the same ballpark?

Oh, I almost forgot. I'd also like to be able to carry a monopod on the outside of it, but I'm not sure this Micro Trekker has a provision for that. It says it supports their sliplock add-ons, but I don't see a monopod/tripod sliplock attachment.

Yeah, I think that all of that gear will fit in the Micro Trekker 200. I have one and fit the following inside:

Canon 20D
Sigma 70-200 f/2.8
Canon 50 f/1.8
Canon 17-40 f/4
Tamron 28-75 f/2.8
Sigma 15mm Fisheye
Canon 420ex flash

and then some various filter and whatever....it is full, but it works and is compact. I like it.

Yeah, I think that all of that gear will fit in the Micro Trekker 200.

Thanks. Any idea if there is a way to attach a monopod on the outside?

If not, I guess I could rig something up with velcro straps on the side or bottom.

You know, there are a pair of straps that are on the bottom of it that I have used to carry my tripod before. It wouldn't hold a very large tripod very well. A monopod would work, I would guess....as long as the straps will go tight enough to hold it there.

If you look at the following URL, there is a description of the bag, and it states that there are straps to hold a small tripod or a jacket.

Have you seen this in the Marketplace forum?

Use a Lord and Taylor bag ;)

Which Lord & Taylor do you go to? Ours all just have regular shopping bags with handles, no backpack-style ones.

This is camcorder and camera, but the inside divisions are rearrangable. My friend has one...its compact and very protective.

I have the Canon backpack. I think it would fit all that easily, and i bought it for $39 @ adorama. I fit my rebel in there, 75-300, 17-40, 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8, lens hoods, and still had some room left.
