I picked up the 50mm f/1.8 lenses last weekend and decided to do portraits of the girls.I think I could have used a reflector card to take some shadows off of there faces and bring out the color of there eyes more.What do you think?

that would have helped. The 2nd picture looks like she was squinting just a bit - with bright skys even facing away from the sun that is sometimes hard to avoid.

I really like these. The first one is great, just needs some lightening on the face. I took the liberty of trying to lighten it up a little in PSP9 (it has a fill flash operation). I hope you don't mind.

You should be able to do much the same with the original. You have a pair of beautiful daughters and the lens will give you super sharp portraits.

Thanks eastcoast909 That looks better.I was a perfect day for shooting, little overcast which helps.Everthing seemed just right except me forgetting the reflector card.I really regret that.Is there anything I can do in photoshop 7.0 that would be another way to fix this?

The files starting psp900 are the beta ones for version 9 and are good for 60 days for trial purposes. They are full up as far as I know and the fill flash function works. Right click on them and choose "save as" to download them to your machine. Once there you can install them.

I know that you should be able to do the same in version 7 but I do not have the expertise or experience to try and suggest how you should do it. I just pushed the icon in version 9 :oops:

If you ask in the post processing and printing forum I'm sure that someone can help.
