I'll go along with the crowd. I like #2 also. 1 is not bad, the little weed makes you think more is there in the left corner.

I am going to go against popular consensus here. I like the first one better. Your subject looks almost mischievious and leaves us wondering what is in the wide expanse on the left that holds his interest and may make him take a little jaunt in that direction. There is literally "someplace" for this little guy to go and makes this capture more dynamic as a result. The second one is simply too static and has a real "stuck in the center feel". Technically both are wonderful shots with nice focus, colour and detail but the first one is more appealing in its presentation. Just my opinion. Good work.

My opinion is that I like the crops. Nice work with nice backgrounds.. And of course the birds.. Top notch IQ as alway's.

You know that I don't follow the crowd - heck, we don't have crowds in Wyoming ;) I like #1 the best. I like empty space and the grass heads just add interest. I like the pose in #2.
