That would be the place and ship. Good work!
The JFK was recently decommissioned. In the four years I was in the navy it was the only ship I ever stepped foot on..... for about two hours. ;)
On the day I took these photos I was dropping a buddy of mine off who was stationed on the JFK. He took me and another friend on a quick tour. The scale of an aircraft carrier as absolutely unreal. Truly one of man's greatest engineering feats. To stand on the flight deck and look down at the water below, and then look up and back almost 1,100 feet across the flight deck makes you feel very small.

Actually tracked the building down >here (http://flickr.com/photos/army_arch/2596915757/)< (hope it's the correct building :o) and just for gits and shiggles found the coordinates of the street corner.
For getting the coordinates, you go to G00gleMaps and right-click a point and choose "directions from/to here" which will place a marker w/coordinates (don't click on the street itself or you'll get a street name/address instead of coordinates).

That is why I always include the maps. I used this one because it breaks it down into smaller regions, making it easier to pinpoint the country.
I too would call Britain, Spain and Italy Western European countries, in fact I would consider them to almost be the definition of Western European counties. The UN's definitions just suited my needs better at the moment. ;)
