Few shots over the past few weeks on my days off... Not the best, but figured I'd share... Living next to the Renton Airport has it's perks...

I love the wingtips on the 800's but still loving the 200 for some reason.

I can't believe that I found a thread here with Renton in the title. I grew up in Renton and my parents still live there.
I've tried shooting at the airport a few times, with less than stellar results, unfortunately. Certainly nothing to rival what you put together here.
Do you normally shoot from the parking lot off of Rainier by the Chamber? The last time I was there, the security folks actually suggested I head for the tower and go around to the picnic/lunch area they have out front.

Very nice shots.
The aviation images on your website are top notch. I'd suggest everyone go take a gander! This guy's good...

Good stuff, not common to see unpainted aircraft. Thanks for sharing.

The green color (unpainted) is interesting, is it carbon or aluminum?

Thanks guys!
I see most of the new 737's coming off the line everyday on the way to the office.. I literally live next door to Boeing's plant on the lake here. Gotta love the mix of new 737's and a ton of float planes at the same airport.. :)
As for the green, I'm fairly sure it's a protective coating of something on the aluminum.. You might notice only the winglets and flight control surfaces are painted as they are all balanced, etc.

I actually was in that parking lot there at the visitor center.. Parked down at the end (south end).. Been up there a few times an have never got bugged by anyone.. However, I've noticed a lot of people eat lunch there and watch airplanes..
And to answer an earlier question, all these were taken with my 70-200.. Was a little short when they take off to the north from where I was, but I think I found another spot that should provide some decent chances for good shots, so we'll see.. :)
