I tried playing with curves and exposure a little bit on this one. Honest C&C please. Thanks.

I like snow shots because they remind me of growing up in Ontario. Unfortunately your snow looks like the grey kind they get in Toronto :D so I opened up your tonal range using levels, and applied a little contrast with curves.
I know the sky is blown, but in this case I think the snow trumps the sky for importance anyways.

I tried more or less the same thing - using Levels, change the white point to 234 and move the mid-range slider down to 1.35, and bring the black point up to 5.
In my opinion, gives more realistic look to the snow.

It's a nice composition. I like Bob's take on it; but I'd crop out the black shape at the bottom of the frame as well.

Seems in need of a little more contrast and some sharpening.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will give them a try. It did lose a lot sharpness when I reduced for web. Thanks again.

ive tried so hard to take winter shots. nothing catches my eye. but this does. it must have been really cold out, haha. Would be nice if there was a deer or another animal in the back.

Not really very cold at all; the snow is sticking to the trees, and the creek is open, neither of which happen during really cold weather.
Also the uneveness and lumpiness of the snow says that it's wet.

Level changes have made a big difference on this shot.
Composition does not stand out for me, maybe a little flat due to the amount of White.
But it's not a bad picture either..

I think this one is too contrasty. There's just no detail in the shadows at all.

Once again thanks. I was going to try a monochrome this weekend.
