Howdy, I think this is another little bush cricket living in the garden. It has just shed it's skin, and was very lazy, it didn't move at all while I was shooting it.

Also tried some new PP work, so some C&C would be great!!!

Lovely capture but looks a bit contrasty for me - I've always liked the slighly soft jade like colours that newly shed bugs often have.

That's cool.
I wonder if that spread eagle stance is normal when this is happening?
I hope I find one after a shed.

that is a very interesting. ive never seen legs on a cricket quite like that. great find!

I suspect that it's actually a young katydid, not a cricket. Looks a bit contrasty to me as well, but still a good image. Angle is a bit awkward though.

Dave - think katydid and cricket are the same things just different names at least here between the UK and the US.
