I saw a grasshopper yesterday but only managed a long shot before it hopped away.
Went back to the same spot today, found another one. After searching around for a while and not finding anymore , I assume this is the same one!

Nice looking shots, unusual looking grasshopper. I've found that they are quite territorial.

According to my Dorling Kindersley Insect book this cannot be a grasshopper.
"The antennae are always short"
Definitely rules this out as it's antennae are very long. About 5 times the length of it's body.
I think some species of Katydid.
