I saw someone used Bridge in CS3 on the weekend. In the loupe view it had the ability to drag a magnifying glass over the photo so you could enlarge portions of the photo. Does LR have that ability? I couldn't find it.

Nope. This is one of the items on Scott Kelby's 2.0 wishlist.

He actually said not like CS3.
I’d like a Loupe feature like Apple’s Aperture, but not anything like the one in Adobe Bridge (Yeech!).
So was this person that I saw using Aperature?

LR has something part way there. You go to 1:1 view (100%) and you can drag a box around in the thumbnail that puts the view where you want it to be - sort of a backwards loupe.
