I am considering adding this item to my bag (around Christmas) and am wondering if anyone has had any experiences with it. My biggest concern is whether it is 100% view of what the viewfinder.
My plans on using it are for awkward macro positions in the field and for high angle astrophoto shots where I cannot get behind the camera to look through the view finder.
I have not seen any good prices on it anywhere either. $280 is the average price I have seen.

Several threads on this already. Try searching for "Angle Finder".

I've used mine a couple of times since I got it in June or July. It's not something you'll use a lot, I'm guessing, but when you need it, and you have it in your kit, you'll thank yourself.
In the magnify mode, you don't get the full field of view, but you do get the center, which for macro is probably what you want.
I got mine from B&H, for about $175. That's what their web site has for the price right now, but they're closed until Oct 10. Other web stores probably have similar pricing.

I have a long tube refractor and I use the angle finder C to do ALL of my astrophoto shots. I find it very useful but on the other hand my friend who has a Netwonian finds it as a hindrance.

The answer is no it does not display 100% of the viewfinder. however in 1.25 setting is close, the 2.5 setting is definately cropping the view, but it also is making it easier to focus.
The angle finder C has saved my neck from much pain and I highly recommend one if you are taking prone position shots a lot from ground level. It is also handy when the models are shorter then you are (100% so far).
Far far cheaper then a visit to the chiropracter.
