what gives? anyone else notice this today? especially on a day where they offer 10% off an all digital cameras? sorry if this is a repost... i searched but didnt find anything.

They're sold out. I ordered one with the 10% discount yesterday morning (Tuesday). My order status shows estimated shipping date on or before Oct. 1. We'll see.

i guess i'll just have to call the sales department tommorow and see what i can do.

Your lucky we have a later ship date and did get the 10% they told me no one will be able to get the body only....

I just noticed they dont even list the 20D on the site anymore?

Yep, not listed at all. I have a feeling they may have taken it down for now, as the 20 seems to be in such high demand, they may have decided to not show it for now until they get more in stock.
I know the bodies only have been on backorder for a while. I ordered the kit and got the discount. Still waiting for the status to change on my order page. When I ordered it, it was in stock (I called to make sure-was told they had 80). The site said "usually ships in 24 hours". Well, it's now 48 hours. Not critical, it'll get here when it gets here. But there are other places that have it in stock; a bit higher price though. I just don't want to sit here twiddling my thumbs if it's not going to ship for weeks.
I'll spring for the extra $60.

Don't get yuour hopes up! Ordered the 20D body from Dell on September 17th. They delayed it twice until Sep 29th. Today this notice arrived by email:

<<< We have reviewed your order. Although we had anticipated being able to ship your order sooner,
we are experiencing an unexpected delay with your order and will not be able to ship this order and any associated orders until on or before 10-20-2004.

No action is required to proceed with the new date, however, if you do not wish to wait, you may cancel your order.

Update:
Still no shipping update on my order. So, I called Dell, was given the out of stock story.
I cancelled the order, and just ordered from Berger Bros. in New York.
They'll ship it today, I'll have it tomorrow.
Very nice people there. Asked if I was interested in accessories, but no hard sell.
It's gonna cost me a bit more, but nothing drastic. Dell had a 10% discount, but they charge sales tax where I live (New Jersey), plus I opted for 2 day shipping. Cost from Dell would have been $1539. Cost from Berger is about $1625 w/next day shippng.

I ordered the 20D (body) with Dell on 09/22 and the order status is the same on the web will ship on or before 10/04. Being concerned my wife and I called and the rep who placed our order said he is 100% sure it will be in my hands bold prediction. NewEgg promised their customers it would ship today which didn't happen seeing now it was moved to 10/08 has me wondering how Dell will get our orders out in time?

ok, i figured out how to get 10% off now that its too late... except it requires the order number of someone who got 10% off so they can see it because they are swearing that the camera NEVER had 10% off. I told the lady i believed her, but the reason i ask is because i have friends that got it for 10% off. she just said get their order # and she will gladly give me 10% off if it reflects 10% off. if anyone got 10% off, could you PM me your order number? i'd really appreciate it, it appears thats the only way im going to be able to get their discount. i think its lame that yesterday they had the discount, but the camera was no where to be found, and they deny it ever being discounted.. confusing.
