depeding on area your in u want to shoot close to the high lighted spot exp. 13 stair handrail the kids gonna board slide it so u wanna stand around the bottom maybe like the 9th stair as far back as u can and close to the ground wide angle super wide now focus manuel on the rail where he will be boardliding on and stop down your lense for enogh dof for the entrance of the trick and the delivery of the trick now assuming conditions are good there plenty of light lets say iso 100 to 400 is best at around 500 of a sec should stop a average skate boarder dont quote me thought havent done this in a long time if u want u can shot with if u set up your dof right

now your set up while rider approaches u take picturesdrom above the rail so u can get his approach and u quickly flow downwards to the ground while he approaches upward to the rail or ledge exc then follow him threw trying to keep him in the middle to the top of the frame try not to cut off hand or arms makes the pics look odd

make sure your careful keep a eye out for flying skate boards

if there was anything u didnt understand or need more info on just email me

outside in broad daylight, should we have a slave flash gun mounted in a tripod? To correct sky exposure

Depends if you want that "Magazine Look" then you should get some flashes, and a fisheye...

If your trying to be more artsy then you can do more long lens shots...i personally either work at Fisheye or 70mm +...with about 3 external flashes...
