I have various rucksacks and bags, none of
which I am happy with, until today
from warehouseexpress.com (UK)
arrived the

Billingham 206

It fits 20D with 17-40 attached, 28-70, 70-200 f4 and
has room for about two more medium sized lenses.
Alternatively it would fit the 20D and 10D with lenses
attached plus two or three lenses.
Inside the bag are also four compartments for CFcards
etc, the back has a large zippered pocket, the front has
two further large pockets for flash trax etc.

This is a great bag if you want easy access to your camera,
don't want the rucksack look and if you don't want to be weighted
down with gear.

And - it doesn't really look like a camera bag and it doesn't
look huge, so it is restaurant friendly etc.

Thanks!!!

Those Billingham bags are beautiful.......just too darn expensive though (compared to the tamrac, lowepro etc....)

I've never seen one in person... seems in the state we tend to go Domke,. and in the UK it's Billingham?

I think it was KennyG who had a great looking Billingham where you could put to "1D" sized cameras with 100-400mm sized zooms attached in it at once.. face down! This makes grabbing a camera lightning fast.

That seems like a great gig bag.

Amen to the Domkes. I wish I could get a new F805 - my old one's getting seriously worn around the edges, but it will take a D60 and 100-400 on end, and still leave room for my laptop on the back edge. When I tried to order one, they told me it was b/o a year!

Yup, Ken loves his Billingham. It is a very nice bag.

re. price - it is worth shopping around,
seems that Billingham's own website is
the most expensive

I paid $150 less than their advertised price...

I have been hammering my Billingham for over 10 years and it is as good as new, in fact better, as it has thet "rugged lived in look" :)

The price is relative, these bags are almost indistructable and will last for a very, very long time.

Same with Domkes - you just can't beat canvas for durability. It's the rigid side panels in the F805 that were the problems, wearing through the sides.
