Anything i can get that could do well with landscapes? But also with sports? Zoom and able to catch action? I need something cheaper, but great to do both, is is possible? :p

are you looking for an all on one lens? are the sports going to be indoors or out?

sigma makes an 18-200mm OS ( optical stabalizer) lens. just my two cents. i have seen people who have them. and they look like a really great lens.. someone posted their shots using the lens. and he said it was a fine lens for the price.

it would be outdoors, so i'm not so much worried about low light.
And yes, i just want something that will capture action, but good enough to make a solid portrait.
I've had people say Sigma 70-300 f/4-5.6 DG APO
will that work for landscape?

i think that lens might be worth at least reading about then if you are looking for an all around lens.

70-200 f/4 non-IS is pretty good bang for the buck. Sharp as heck, perfect for outdoor sports. Not wide enough for a lot of landscape photographers but used properly you can still get some nice landscape photos.
