That depends where you are!

In both Kingston-upon-Hull and on the Island of Guernsey the local authorities never gave up control of the phone service to the Post Office who painted them red. And even then some of their boxes were painted gray where the bright red was felt to spoil the area!

But in Hull the phone boxes are cream while on Guernsey they used to be Yellow but are now blue. Also in London a private telecoms company has added its own black ones to the mix.

Because of the treatment in the photo it feels like one of KC's cream boxes, though you can tell it is not because the ones in Hull do not have the crown on the dome.

lol - one of the great hollywood icons has been dashed! All phoneboxes in the UK are red on TV!

By the way, when was the last time you saw anyone use a phonebox. I genuinely can't remember?! Everyone uses mobile phones these days.

I saw someone using a phone box recently on the way home from the pub.

He wasn't using it to make a phonecall though! :lol:
