could you PM me with your order #? apparently they are requiring me to prove it before they will give me a discount... or some BS like that. yesterday they had 10% off the 20D and i talked to someone on the Chat help and they said call today and i could be helped, except today they deny the 20D ever being discounted, so they say that if i get someones order # that got a discount, then they would sell it to me for 10% off... thx.

I would discourage anyone from sharing information like that. Although the purpose is honest and innocent, there are nefarious people who could possibly abuse that information (such as pretending to be the purchaser and changing the shipping address  ).
IMHO.

well... i intended it to be people that already recieved their cameras. I should have printed out that 10% off on the 20D that was listed yesterday, i cant believe they are swearing that they NEVER had a discount, maybe i should just try to call and talk to someone else. but if someone has received their camera and is comfortable with telling me their order number so that i can try to get 10% off, id really appreciate it. i cant believe they would have 10% off and then not even show the 20D on the site.. doesnt make sense, and now today it says it "excludes" the 20D. blah.

And yes, seriously, this is VERY common with Dell offering 3rd party items. They're almost on par with the Brooklyn, NY stores. They flip-flop more than....Ooops. Not supposed to get political.
You should have seen the mess when they offered the 70-200 f/2.8 IS for a super-cheap price. Man, what a fiasco that was. I have several items from Dell and love their computers, but they really drop the ball on 3rd party equipment.

yea, what a shame.. i guess i'll have to just keep a close eye on their site every day and nail it when i see that 10% again if i cant get an order #. but i'm gonna try calling back tommorow to speak with someone else.

I'm surprised she told you they had the camera. I placed an order on Tuesday morning. Called today to find out what the holdup was. They told me backordered. I cancelled my order. Called Berger Bros. in N.Y. They have it. I'll have it tomorrow. Cost a bit more, but no big deal.
