so many bag talks but i couldn't help but seeking advice.
does any own or know any camera bag that allow you to fit 2 pro bodies WITH lens attached at the same time?
I'm looking for a bag which i can fit 1D+70-200mm 2.8 IS and 1D+17-40mm at the same time, plus room for couple of more lenses, flash, accessories and preferrably a mount for monopod/tripod, also easy access to equipment.
thanks!

See Scottes thread pf 9/29 where he justifiably :) rants about this issue. There are some good posts about the bag you are looking for.
BTW, I visited your site on smugmug recently; you sure have some nice new work there. :D

Domke F1 or F-7AF. Plenty of D-rings on the F1 bag for fastening outside stuff like the tripod. My F-1 end pockets hold the 420EX and 550EX, and the outside front pockets get batteries, CF cards, lens cleaning stuff, extra lens/body caps. Put the 1D/70-200 in the main body of the bag, with the lenses and 1D/17-40 in a 3-compartment insert.

I had a look at Billingham bags, it weights 2.6kg on its own
For the price of that bag, i'd rather buy myself a 85mm f1.8 instead
plus, i've got a 1.4x TC, battery charger for 1D, extra batteries and some more stuff to fit in a bag ...

Take a look at the Tamrac 610 or 612, or the 5612.
http://www.tamrac.com/welcome.htm
There is a link for 'Pro bags for 2 SLRs with multiple lenses'
I have a 608 and a 5612. The 5612 will most likely handle that combination with the cameras horizontal.
Have Fun,

Billingham 555
We LOVE converts :D
sGu the Billingham is an excellent bag, Loads of room and really rugged.
The bottom line is that with the amount of kit you are carrying you are going to need a pretty heavy bag to cope.
BTW when did you get the second body? (camera that is  )

I think there are many bags that can take 2-3 bodies and 6-7 lenses, plus misc. items. However, not many can hold 2 bodies with lenses attached to each at the same time.
Personally, and almost like sGu, I'm looking for a bag that holds a 70-200 (F4) and 100-400 with bodies attached to each (plus the misc. items of course).

My Super crappy "Quantaray" (yes .. it's true!   ) will actually hold the MkII with 70-200 mounted and the 20D with 70-300mm DO mounted...
Or any similar sized combo.. but it won't do both long lenses mounted.
I can also do the above and have room for the 100-400 and about 4 other smaller lenses and t-cons. It's really a great size.. but as a Quantaray.. it's starting to fall apart after only a little over a year.

I will consider Billingham 555, of course, but i'm just looking for alternatives to compare really. Did you see the price for that bag??? Warehouseexpress sells it much cheaper!
Well, i found a 1D in UK, not sure if i'm gonna save up enough in time for a MK II, so i decide to go with 2x 1D instead.
As long as nobody turns up at his doorstep and hand over the cash on monday, the camera is mine :D Seller is flying out to Germany for 3 weeks, and after that, he'll deliver the camera to Manchester, even save me on shipping!

CDS, judging from the photos in that link it seems the bag is...to use your own word..."crappy" :D

I have a Billingham 555 and often use it with two bodies, 300 2.8 and 70-200 2.8, plus you can fit a laptop PC in the front zipped compartment.
Does make the bag very heavy though.
The quality of these bags make them worth the price, in the UK you see 20 year old Billingham bags still in use and on Ebay a well used bag sells for almost as much as a new one.

here I go again with my newly aquired billingham tick -
check out the 555 again, or 445,
they would fit your 15" powerbook, too
Re. weight - the strap and weight distribution make
the load cofortable.
for info www.billingham.co.uk
for prices www.warehouseexpress.com
and www.jessops.co.uk
compare prices and postage.
Warehouseexpress has bags in stock.
Although often more expensive, Jessops may be
cheaper.
I got mine from warehouseexpress last week - it was
£80 ($150) cheaper than b'ham's own website and it is
only a small bag. The quality is something else.
