This is the best I could do with a 70-200 F4 IS lens on a very cloudy day.

Thanks. Will get an extender this week for my 70-200. Apparently, someone spotted a Scott Oreo in NYC Union Square today and all the bird watchers flocked to the park. Couple of them walked to me asking if I knew where was this bird. I was like I have no idea which bird they were talking about. I was at the park to find "something" shoot. All of a sudden, a group of bird watches and couple of guys with the L lens crowding in this particular small tree. There it was. It was fun. :)

All excellent but #1 is just superb!!!

Nice shots, but I'm wondering what the hell a Scott Oreo is and I'm not afraid to ask.

I am pretty sure I got the spelling wrong.....the bird is supposed to be found in the west coast and somehow it landed in NYC. ???

Maybe some kind of "Oriole"?

Found it, A Scotts Oriole (http://www.mbr-pwrc.usgs.gov/Infocenter/i5040id.html)...

Forgot to say, thats an excellent sparrow and I love that starling shot. They both look pretty tame, probably looking for a handout. :)

The first shot is very good indeed. :-)

Can't decide which I prefer...the sparrow or the starling. They are both well done.
