I just got my new (slightly previously enjoyed, though) 1DMkII and noticed that the vertical grip shutter release is very sensitive. Well, after coming from 10D everything is sensitive... but I wan to know if anyone elsxe noticed something like this or it's my camera's problem. Basically - it takes the pic when you try to focus whereas I have no problem using the main button. Is it my barberian finger???

Mine too and I have seen others report this. You do get used to it.

I found out that the canon tech can adjust this sensitivity without breaking the camera open. If you look at the schematics, they have various size plunger that fit in a threaded shaft. The plungers appearently set the amount of free play in the shutter releaase. I am having mine set to both the same sensitivity (the ssame amount as the vertical release) as soon I can breath them free for a couple days and take them in.

If interested I'll send you the schmatics. I got them on the web somewhere but lost the link.

"Hair pin trigger", the 1 series seem to have this. My 1D MkII was certainly guilty of shooting like crazy if I even looked at the vertical release, but I think they all do this.
