Newbie Question re: downloading (Mac)

Hi Everybody,

I'm new to the forum and have been reading for quite a while. What a great resource!

I've been downloading my pictures from my 10D to my Apple iBook with imagebrowser with no problems. But when I try to download directly from my Lexar card reader the reader shows up on my desktop but when I open it there are no pics. There is only one folder (DCIM I think) with nothing in it. I'm using a Sandisk 512MB UltraII.

When I put the card back into the 10D it downloads to imagebrowser without a hitch.

Also after I downloaded the images into my iBook I can't upload them back to the 10D. It says file not saved.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i am a MAC user too.

I always use card reader to download the pic from the reader to my Power MAC G4 without a problem.(the softwear is "file viewer utility" from Canon's CD-Rom)

please try to connect the reader to PC and download the pic. so you can make sure the reader is working.

btw don't upload the pic back to the 10D because you 10d is not a card writer.
