Any know of a local place to get sensors cleaned? I'm still a little nervous doing this myself, but I really need this done. Has anyone done this themselves? What did you use? thanks!

I've done it, with a rocket blower and swabs I bought from Carlisle Camera...and got not-so-great results. I need to give it another try. A few months ago I picked up some pec pads and a bottle of eclipse, but I haven't gotten brave enough to do it.
I'm thinking that Carlisle Camera might offer the service, but I'm not totally sure.

I tell ya, I never have luck going into Carlisle Camera. But I'll give them a call and see what they say. Thanks!

Yeah, they're a little different in there. Unfortunately it's the only game in town.

CC can send the cam out to get cleaned for $100 - takes 4-6 weeks to get back to you. ok, who's got the steady hands here??? Both mine need cleaned and $200 just ain't gonna happen right now. Maybe it's time for a sensor cleaning meet up? ;)

Metro Photo in Hershey won't touch them, either...but its truly not difficult with a rocket blower and a sensor pen. Give a yell if you need some help...

Sounds like a great idea to me!
I haven't tried the sensor pen. That might be my next method. There's also a sticky-like stamp thing, but I'm not sure that it's still being made.

Yep, we survived the flooding also. Had a lot of water in our basement but we're thankful it wasn't worse as some others have experienced.

Precisely....while our house smells like stale musty water, at least we have ours still. My prayers go out to everyone not so lucky

Just found this thread. I live in Hollidaysburg, Pa about 120 miles west of Harrisburg. My daughter lives in Mechanicsburg so I do get down there several times a year.

Hi, folks! Sorry for the delay. I haven't checked this forum in a while, so I'm a little late. Welcome! What kind of shooting do you like to do?

I'm basically in Allentown, relative to you -- HB is under 2 hours via I-78.

Greetings PA shooters! I just setup the garage studio. So that'll probably setup an oncoming cold snap in the weather. :)
