Hi,
I'm thinking of going to the Masai Mara this year and was wondering if people had any recommendations some decent camps and tours. We are planning to Sept to hopefully catch the migration. Is this hitting monsoon period?
Thanks

For what it's worth, we were in the Serengeti, south of the masai mara, in mid-November. It was supposed to be the short rains there, but they were late...guides blamed global warming. Towards the end of the trip we started getting a few afternoon showers, but nothing that hurt us...just kept down the dust a bit. Heavy rains are in Spring I believe. Plot price versus weather and I imagine they parallel lol. Enjoy the trip! (and keep a watchful eye on the Nairobi developments!)

Thanks for the reply. Since my initial post, I've done plenty of research and even come up with a rough idea of what we would be doing on which day. It looks like I will be putting things on hold now till things calm down in Kenya... a real shame.
