Hi guys,

Last month, when I started to try out some nighttime photography with the A75, I noticed a small red spot on all pictures I took. I made a photo of a black surface (http://hangmat.etv.cx/redspot.jpg) where the spot can clearly be seen.

As I found the spot to be quite annoying, I returned the camera to the store where I had bought the camera and it was sent for repairs. Now after a number of weeks I got it back, but the repair report said nothing was wrong with the camera. However, when taking new pictures, the red spot was still there.

Do you think I should contact the repair service, or is the red spot too small a defect to be repaired? I don't really like it being there, but like I said, they wrote they couldn't find anything wrong the first time.

you should send it back to canon and print this picture as example for them!

maybe they'll find the dead pixel then

i don't know for the A75 but canon has some software for pixel correction for other types 8)

good luck

Can't see the picture, but if it's a red spot, then it's a 'hot' pixel and not a 'dead' one. Same thing, different colour.

Best regards,
Andy
