How fast is the read/write rate of the S410 and S500?

It was brought to my attention that the ELPHs (S410 and S500) have a limited read/write speed to/from the CF Card. Does anyone know any techinical details? I am wondering if high speed CF cards will actually improve the speed of the S410 and/or S500. Is there a difference between the S410 and S500? :!:

Don't exactly know the read / write speeds of those cameras (I have a S400), but I can tell you this: The slowest CFC can both read and write a lot faster than those cameras can. The fastest CFC will write no faster than the slowest one.......these cameras are Slooooooooooowww, which is why they cost so much less.

I wish I knew this before I bought like the fastest card for my s500 thinking it'll speed the thing up. sigh :cry:

That's OK. Save it for when you get a faster camera. Your S500 isnt' going to wear it out.
