My 2008 resolution was to take and post more photos (ie: dedicate more time to photography). In the past, I'd start a PaD (Photo a Day), but it would become a PESO (Photo Every So Often), then it would just end.

This time I started a PESO, but it's become a PaD.

My switch to Lightroom has definately helped. I can find & develop the Day's shot in a lot less time.

My 40D has helped too, the larger screen helps me determine if I have a keeper or not. I've had it so long now, I've forgotten what it was like with the Rebel. I haven't forgotten that my "keepers" have increased dramatically. Almost too dramatically, I now have so many 'good' photos that it's driving me mad (not as clear cut come culling time).

So anyway, here's my PaD:

(Oh yeah, I'm also playing around with the css, kind of tweaking the site to make it more of my own, call that a work in progress)

Thats pretty cool. I was thinking of doing something similar to force myself into shooting every day.

I'd like to not think of it as "force" ;-)

What a PaD does, however, at least for those of us with jobs (other than photography), families, etc is to get you to think something up and focus on a specific subject. For me, it gets me out at lunch time at work. Otherwise, I'd simply eat at my desk and go mad.

It also helps with Post Processing. Sometimes I've had to 'save' a shot that I needed to post (because I had no others) and I had to learn a new technique.

Today, I am waiting on approval from my wife on some B&W nudes we took (we'll see how that goes).

Nice gallery, Glen! I've been doing a photo a day project since January 2006, and while I've missed a few days here and there, I usually get something by the end of each day. It's a very difficult project though, especially when on one day I may have a few pictures that I think would be good, and other days I don't have a single one I think is worthwhile.

However, I think its a fun project, and its really nice to go back through the past years and see what pictures you took that day and what was going on in your life.

Good luck with it!

Thanks Tim,

Today is one of those days. I wound up getting home late and never had a break today to get out and shoot. Had a bunch left over from yesterday that I'd like to post, but that would be breaking the rules ;-)

On the ride home though, I was able to come up with a good idea. I've been meaning to play with the 580EX-2's Stroboscopic mode, now's my chance.

Turns out the Stroboscopic idea was fun, just not the results I had wanted.

Did a dark SP instead.
