Stick to the original, I think the filmstrip is a bit of a gimmick.
I have just noticed that the background is significantly darker in the second image ?
A question I keep meaning to ask you every time you post this pic (and that is quite a lot :D ) Have you ever been tempted to clone out the grass or whatever it is on the beak?

Yes the original is a little brighter.

The colors being darker in the 2nd one look great. It makes the 1st one look too bright and even look too lightened up.
Brighter isn't always beter!
