Conk, that wasn't necessary.
You didn't ask any question, so there was no need to reply.

I was going to say congrats, and ask about working with animals, but your clearly not interested
Either that or your just having a really bad day.

You guys are right. I was just a little ticked that 30 something people looked and didn't even give a "way to go". I was being silly and sensitive. Sorry I took it so personal people.

In that case congrats!
Are you useing your own studio? and how on earth do you deal with peoples pets?
You would really have to love animals, dealing with them in a forgian environment as a stranger would be a real challange.

Thanks Moppie
I'm using my own light setup. Two two strobes and a backdrop. 420ex if I need it. I am going mobile for this one and will be in a common room at the condo's where the pets are. So it might be easier as it's in their environment.

I tend to get overexited too on big news like that, so if people look at my thread and dont reply I feel like kicking @ss :D  (j/k), so you're not the only one.
Congrats. How's Brittany doing?

Congrats. Taking pictures of animal must be very challenging in a studio environment. I go nuts trying to take pics of my cats.

Glad to hear that and thank you. Brittany is right here lifting my hand off the mouse with her nose for attention as I read this. She's well, thanks for asking. :D
Thanks Ovi. So far so good. There's been some small challenges but not too many. I try to let the pet hang out for a bit and get settled before taking photos. :D

Animals. Whoa.
I did one pet session and said never again. It was a Dalmatian. I put him on a white scoop. No problem.
I got one shot off when the animal went berserk and mauled me. I kept my camera in my hand and apparently inadvertantly shot 7-8 exposures before the owner got the dog off me. Got the film back and the first shot has this crazed animal's face in it. The second shot was a blur and the rest were pictures of the ceiling and floor.
No, there was another pet session. It was a bridal session (!) in which the bride had this HUGE dog. I think it was an English Mastiff. (I may have the name wrong). This animal was really a nice animal, but it had a really bad habit of putting its mouth on everything. I'd go to redirect the animal's head and I'd find my hand down its throat. It didn't bite or bark. It just wanted to taste everything--- including my camera.
Don't ask about the session pictures. I thought they were little 4x5 disasters but the bride loved them.
If it bites, crawls, drools, cries or barks, I won't shoot it.
 I'm sorry to hear that.
