I have a tripod (Benbo Trekker Mk2) which I can screw in to the battery grip of the 20D with no problems, so the question is if I buy the Manfrotto 141RC Basic Head with quick release can I attached it to the tripod with no problems?

The 20D takes a 1/4-20 stud, so that's what must be on your Benbo. I *think* the 141RC has a 3/8-16. Some heads come with a thread insert to convert from 3/8-16 to a 1/4-20.
Someone who has one may know, or you can call the dealer.

Does anyone have the Manfrotto 141RC Basic Head, if so, does the screw (which fit the canon 20D) screw into the base of the Manfrotto 141RC Basic Head , if it does it means I can buy this head knowing it will fit on my tripod

My Manfrotto head came with both screws. It fit no matter which screw you needed. Can't say if all Manfrotto heads come that way though.

I have a manfrotto tripod and a Manfrotto monopod, both with manfrotto heads, and they both came with 1/4-20 thread screws. (the monopod itself-leg came with both screws).

I have a 141RC. Screws into the 10D no worries, so I'd have thought it would fit the 20D too.

Hi
The top of my tripod used a 1/4 thread (Male) and the base base of the 141RC is 3/8 Female so I need to get a 1/4 female to 3/8 male thread
Does that make sense?

Yes, and some tripod heads come with the threaded insert. My Acratech did as did my Bogen QR plate.

oops, misread your question, sorry.
Yep, you'll need an insert. I think you can get them from B&H for around $3-4
