View Full Version : Canon RAW Codec 1.2 in WinXP

Has anyone been able to get the Canon Raw Codec 1.2 to work in Windows XP? I've installed it on 3 different XP machines and cannot get it to show any RAW images. Works fine in Vista on 2 machines, but no luck in XP. Installed the "Windows Imaging Component" on one of the machines (it prompted for it during the install), but not on the other two. Two of the machines had previously had the MS Raw Thumbnail Viewer installed. Tried it with/without removing the Raw Thumbnail Viewer. The third machine was a fresh XP install, so had never had MS Raw Thumbnail Viewer installed. Any word/help on successful installs in XP would be appreciated.

As for as I know its not going to work in WinXP but you can install the file for Vista then apply the ArcSoft app so the thumbnails will show up.

the xp raw viewer wont show 40D files.
