Hey all, just wondering what methods and other tricks of the trade you guys use to convert to black and white and make such ranges all the way from black to white range. I've been impressed by alot of photos here and I'm looking for ways to improve my black and whites.

Yeah, I am using photoshop. Sorry should have mentioned that. When you guys/gals process these are you usually in RAW?

yes.


I don't do B/W very much, but when i do, i just desaturate (ctrl + u)and turn up the contrast (through curves)
