As I said in my 1st post in this forum spiders challenge me.

So I decided to try some more.

Large Orb Spider repairing its web. (100mm, ISO100, F2.8, 1/60, On board flash)

Large Orb again (100mm, ISO400, F5, 1/60, On board flash)

Spider with house (100mm, ISO100, F3.5, 1/60, On board flash)

(100mm, ISO100, F4, 1/60, On board Flash)

These were easier to take,

Pretty good going :)- one thing with spider photography is to try and get their eyes in focus - may need to try different angles to do this.

Yes good shots. #1 is the most successful, #2 focus is off the eyes - always a problem with spiders because of all the long legs, big depth of field problems.

Thanks guys.

Other angles on the Orb were difficult as it was running around repairing where I had walked through it's web and seeing its eyes was impossible in the darkness.

So when are we going to see you holding one? :)

Like the shot with house.

Dave, with the size of the Orb Spider there is a choice of buckley's or none!

I'd even have to think about the other two a lot before I let one on my hand.

Wardie - off to a good start, as Brian said, eyes being in focus are generally important. I like the lighting and compositions. Good stuff.
