View Full Version : Does B&H offer better warranty?

I am a little confused... I was looking for a lens on B&H and other web sites and I noticed that B&H offers 1 year international plus 4 year extended US warranty on this lens while other websites were not very clear about the warranty. Is it possible that if I buy the same lens from another website, the warranty I'd get won't be as good as from B&H? What has been your experience in this matter?

From your description, it sounds like you are looking at a Grey Market item. The kind of warranty you get on Grey Market items varies from vendor to vendor. B&H's warranty is very generous. They are very reliable.

You'll have to wait about a week to confirm this since B&H is closed, but I'm guessing they are including a Mack warranty. They offer an upgrade to 7 years on the lens you specified for $19.95 so that is probably the case. Don't quote me on this, but I know they like to push those Mack warranties.

You didn't say which lens you were talking about in your original post. Sorry I couldn't read your mind. :roll:
B&H does package an additional warranty with some of its Sigma lenses.
