It's been awhile since I've posted anything, so here is something from the weekend. These were taken Jan 26, 2008 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, CA. The Big Ball Stars are a group made up of members of different "80's Hair Bands".

Phew, that is a lot of hair ... mines kinda' thinned out. Looks like a small stage ... got any wide angle shots of the whole place?

Just way too oversharpened for me, I guess. Distracts me a bit from the actual photos...

Composition is okay, but a little standard.

Too much sharpening on all of them? I can see your point on #2 (on the edges), but the others don't look bad to me. I usually don't sharpen so much, was trying it out since usually I get the criticism that I need to sharpen after resizing. Maybe I just need to practice more with it.

Here is a little wider shot of the stage, w/ stripper included. Not sure if it will give you the overall feel of the size, but it does have 1/2 naked girl in it. Yes is a small stage, typical size stage for Hollywood club, not quite the size stage you have gottend used to at the casino.

Half naked is not a big deal, we get those regularly. But yes, the casino stage is a bit bigger ... that's the sound board bottom center:

A, I am somewhat famous for my appreciation of the fairer sex and am particularly fond of female fiddle and bass players. I even know some cute boxers and MMA fighters. However, strippers will do in a pinch.

Agree with the "oversharpened" comment.
#4 is too "flat", #5 is way OoF.
Looks like a small, crowded stage. Makes for some nice moments, but distracting backgrounds ;)

You could crop some a bit closer.
