Storm Surf 2

More of the storm surf in Sydney a couple of weeks ago.
First wave was paddled into. 2nd one obviously not.

That first shot is awesome. I like the perspective, how you can see the previous wave breaking inside.

Those are cool, but the surfer is in the center of the frame on both, which is boring. Look into the 'rule of thirds' and other composition guides, and try to get the subject off center.

I think the first one kinda works in the center as it seems like everything is around him and your eye is draw in. The second one, try cropping it some.

I love the first picture and the composition works very well. That looks like some killer surfing.

For me the composition of the first wave is good but I think it would be a bit better if the surfer was slightly to the right of the frame exposing more of the open face.

If you cropped the beach out of the upper part of the second picture I feel it would give it a more isolated...I'm one with the wave kinda feel to it. Thats just my take.

Agree with opinions on the second photo crop but It was really a location shot - that is Boat Harbour / Kurnell in the backgound which is very recognizable for anyone who has been there. (It's in the city)

So for posting on an international forum I should have cropped but I'll leave as is for showing to locals.
