Has anyone succeeded in setting personal functions for the 1D Mark II? I've connected the camera to the computer with the chord provided and pulled up the EOS Viewer Utility, but the icon and menu item that you go to for setting up personal functions remains greyed out (therefore, unusable).
I tried the program's help menu, and there seems to be none (it's just an "about the program" message). And yes, I RTFM (page 158). Any ideas of what is going wrong? Thanks.

You're connected with a wrong cable - I don't recall which one it was (used it only once to set shutter sound reduction), but if you were using USB then use Firewire and vice versa.

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't even know if my computer has Firewire (it looks like it's time to find out). I'll let you know how it turns out. :)

As it turns out, the software manual shows the correct cable (IEEE 1394). I just looked over my computer, and while it has SIX USB ports (and lots of others), there is no connection that looks like that. Oh, well.

You have to use firewire to set Pf's.

You have to use firewire to set Pf's.
Do you know how this can be retro-fitted to a computer? I don't have firewire on mine, and I'm wondering if I can just install a card.
Also, the 1D Mark II manual says that you can use PFs to alter the number of shots taken in exposure bracketing. Can you set the camera for two shot brackets? I don't see where it mentions that.
Thanks for the help.

Ok, I figured out the first part and ordered a card from Dell. Anyone know the answer to the second question? Thanks.
