I am looking at buying a new white background? Now I have a couple of choices do I buy a paper roll or vinyl?
Paper is cheap £40 for 2.72m x 11m but it marks really easily and needs replaced all the time.
Or do i buy a role of vinyl £170 for 2.72m x 6m but you can wash it and much harder wearing.
What are your thoughts?

It can be hard to avoid light striking the vinyl and creating unwanted sheen on its surface, if it is semiglossy and not matte.

Look at the highlight sheen that is very evident in the photo of the roll!
Also look at the visible evidence of a 'reflection' (no, it isn't a shadow) of the model, you can see her legs and torso in the material on the floor!
To play on the 'Tastes great, less filling' commercial slogan, 'Lasts longer, more shiney!'

For white- I say go vinyl. I use 10x20 piece of photographic vinyl for my highkey but use seamless paper for my color drops....
