Paper types on Canon Pro9500

Has anyone got any views on what are the best papers for B&W portraits and skin colour reproduction ?

I've read some reviews and a couple of them say they had mixed results when using various types of media with various types of images, but they didn't elaborate on which were the best combinations. I don't really care about what kind of surface they have, they'll be under glass anyway.

Anyone have this printer ?

Looking into buying the same printer. What I've gathered is that gloss seems to have the worst performance across the board. As I don't intend to print on gloss, that doesn't concern me.

I'll be interested to see what others say.
