Are there any available filter lenses for the Powershot A80? I am not sure what size to use nor whether I'd need an adaptor lens in order to use one.

I want to achieve different effects to enhance my photos.

Also, since I am from the UK, does anyone know of any UK websites that will sell filters for the A80?

Thanks... :)

There is an adapter (LA-52D) from Canon to allow you to fit 52 mm filters to your A80. It should be mentioned in the back of your A80 manual (pp. 186 ff). Any photo shop should handle 52 mm filters; they're a standard size. And any Canon retailer should be able to get the adapter for you.

I think the standard Canon adapter tubus is made of black plastic! - but there are some no-name brands out there made of aluminium, think I paid 17 euro for mine (aprox 15 US dollars?)
I use, at least for now, only a polarizing filter. Works just fine. But in sunlight it might be hard to really fine-tune the filer settings, cause the LCD is not that good in strong daylight (I have the A70) So sometimes it can be hard to see wich direction is the optimal one for the pol-filter.
