I'd like your honest critique of this photo. Does it work? Is there anything that could be improved?

Interesting combination of colors... Seems a bit unreal to me (are these the true colors). But except that... it doesn't really work for me, but I can't give you a good explanation.
Do you have more of the picture on the left and right, to make a landscape -format out of it? But the same height... Just an idea...
or perhaps cropping on top and bottom for the landscape-format

I prefer the landscape shot better... nice 'rule-of-thirds' respected.
Can it be that the yellow isn't so flashy on the landscape-shot?

great popping color!!!
looking at both, i feel squashed or short. We know how tall these trees get, so we/I tend to want to keep looking up. this is only the mid-section of the trees and they just seem boxed in/confined.

Unique and artistic. Everybody in Colorado take photos of aspens in the fall. And by far the vast majority are the same old thing. Way to capture something new and fresh.
