American Football (in the UK)

Hi
Sunday saw me go to my first ever American Football game, have done a few Rugby games in the past but the Stop/Start nature of this game makes it harder getting 'action' type shots
however I really enjoyed shooting these guys - and got a few keepers into the bargain

Great stuff ! They're great action, focus, cropping. Like em all except maybe that one directly behind the "hike" but that's just subjective. :)

Good stuff! Nice to have another UK football photographer out there! Now make sure you get yourself involved with the BAFL when the season starts again in April. BUAFL's great, but you can't beat the 'real' thing!

I actually like #4 the best simply because it evokes (to me) a feeling that these gents are playing for "the love of the game." Not for the big bucks, the endorsements nor the 50,000 maniacs in the stands. It reminds me of really, really small college football where you have the field and maybe some small stands for maybe 100 folks to watch.

Did some BUAFL myself today - Hertfordshire Hurricanes at Greenwich Mariners. As was said before, it's just about the game. Some of these guys (as you might understand) had NEVER heard of (American) football before they went to University (College) last September, yet still, they get kitted up and beaten up. You gotta love it. :)
