Good day folks. Here are a few shots of our local Junior B team in action. I am getting a few shots I like, but I would like some info on post processing, such as what do most folks do that they find useful? Or those subtle tips for better shots. I think I am getting close to bagging more keepers but need to take it a notch further so to speak. Any ideas on how to do that? Or is it simply put as more practice?
Any advice on angles would be great as well.
Thank you folks!!

Greetings from Victoria. Technically the shots look good as far as lighting and such go. The white balance looks to vary a bit. Are you setting any custom white balance at start of game? You may also want to bump exposure a tiny, tiny bit. Only major comment would be cropping. On #1 their feet should be in the shot and lose all the extra glass above their heads. On #2, it should be a little looser...leave some "white space" around the player, especially a bit more in the direction he is looking or shooting as it leads the eye naturally that way then. # 3 is a good capture but just a touch dark. I've been shooting a lot of my son's games this year and have learned a great deal from this forum. Also have a few posts of shots in some threads too. Heading sort of your way next week for a tourney in Vernon.

Hey thanks for the feedback. Hopefully more folks will comment as well. (hint)

Yes the WB was different as it was from different games. I was using the "K" setting in the 30D but I made a mistake and it wasn't used. ( I still had it on AWB and didn't realize there was a "K" setting under ISO) Oh well now I know!
I will try and give it a bit more exposure as well if I can do so and keep it sharp. Thank you for your comments I found them helpful!!

Nice tight crops. I typically like to see the puck in the shot but these work pretty good. The processing looks pretty good as the whites are on and the shots are very sharp. Looking forward to seeing more.
