Skyport and AlienBee Question

I am sure this has been answered a million times but I plan on getting these:

What do I need in order to use these with my Bees (B800's)? How do they connect and what do I purchase to have them connected to the Bees?

That set won't work with anything except Elinchrom lights.

You need the universal set:

Optional extra universal receiver:

The receivers come with the cord you need to plug into your Alienbees. No extras needed.

I use these triggers (http://cgi.ebay.com/4-channel-Digital-Radio-Slave-Flash-Trigger-4-Studio_W0QQitemZ180209937490QQihZ008QQcategoryZ300 84QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) with my strobes and they get the job done nicely. Bonus is no batteries to deal with on the receivers, at least.

I made the same mistake that Curtis is warning about. Ordered the Elinchrom for Elinchrom stobe...I returned them for the universal set and used them this past weekend with my bees....shot from across the ice with no problems!!! Very easy to set-up and use. Have fun.

I have the Skyport Universal set with AB800. They work great. I didn't even have to buy another cable to use the Skyport w/ my 580EX II. The sync cable that came with the AB800 works great. I didn't have to buy any additional cables or connectors. Here is the AB800 with the Skyport receiver and the sync cable provided with the Skyports. This was taken w/ a P&S, btw.

I am scarily impressed at how easy the Skyports are. I put the battery in upside down the first time and kept wondering why they wouldn't work. DUH!!! Once I remembered that - can't go where the + goes, they worked just fine. They are lightweight and I really like the cases that they came in.
