help with the contract

Hey~

I am a studio owner of 2 years and just secured my first prom gig....I need to come up with a contract. I have searched the web for samples or ideas of what one should say, but have come up with nothing! would any of you be willing to share what your contract says or maybe let me know what my contract should have in it? And is it okay for me to have a stipulation in the contract that says that I must be the prom photographer for the next 2 years?

Yep, if you dont ask you will never get it. But also, do no just try to sneak it in there with out them knowing. I would almost give them one quote for doing one year, then if they sign a multi-year contract with you give them a little price break (or other incentive) to do so.

I don't know if this info will help or not but here it is:

I'm currently a prom advisor for this year's junior class. The photog they booked did not ask them to sign a contract at all and is not charging them anything to show up. They are just charging for the prints. I thought this was weird myself but apparently this is how they work. The company is out of Dubuque.
