This was taken today at park of my grand baby and I just love this photo but it was to dark on one side of her face. I did use the flash but didn't help for some reason. Guess it's the way the sun was shinning on one side of her didn't even notice it till I got home and viewed my pictures.

But anyway what I want to know can this photo be fixed? I used the shadow/highlighter in PS. And this is what I got. It did pretty good job all but when you view it zoom in on it you can see where the shadow was on her left side of face is all blotchy with black specks and I can't get it fixed. I surely wanted to print this photo and frame it.

Can some one help me as what I can do to fix it? Please
I would appreciate it so much. Thanks

Guess I could go back and retake it if I had to but would love to try and fix this one if possible.

Nice photo, and the retouching is VERY good indeed.
But yes, when you recover shadow detail like that, you will often get noise, or banding.
Some noise reduction software can help. Noise Ninja is my favourite, but if you dont want to buy, there is a new free tool (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=43642) that is getting great reviews.

Hi Drisley, thanks so much for the help I will give that a try. So that's what it's called huh lol I didn't no what it was called but I just knew there was spots in the pic. Around the area where it lighted the dark shadows up. I will sure give the Noise-Wave a try thanks. :D
