Hi.
Thought users might be interested to know that here in the UK, (not sure about USA) the EOS/Rebel 300 has only ever been available in the silver plasticky finish. Which for me has always put me off buying the camera. I think it's always looked amateur and tacky in that finish - although I know it's a good product. (sorry if that upsets others!!!!)
I was all set to buy the D70, BUT, Jessops a UK retailer are selling an all BLACK model, packaged with the E1 grip, 18-55m lens, and a fast 250 meg card.
Well, needless to say I've bought the package in preference to the D70. It looks soooo much better in black. If had been available in the past I'm sure Canon would have sold shedloads more to users like me, who have always used Canon in the past but were not happy with the look of the new product.
