Hey everyone...as the title says, I'm a newbie around here. My boyfriend (doom1701e) had me sign up because he's found lots of great information on here and I hope to do the same. My man gave me his 10D and some lenses as an early birthday and xmas present, and I'm lovin it already. :)

Wow, he must be nice to give you all that neat equipment! I wonder what he got to replace the 10D? :D

What a nice present. I look forward to seeing some of your work.
Trust me, this is dangerous territory in a relationship.

I made that mistake a couple of years ago. Gave my backup camera to the wife cause she was bored whilst I was shooting.....You don't want to do that. Now I have to buy two of everything.
When we went digital, I had to get 2 300D's as I wouldn't have been able to use it much without getting an earful. Few months later I managed to convince her I needed a 10D as well. When that arrived she "borrowed" it and decided she wanted one too.
It's fun shooting together though :)

Yes this will definitely be interesting. He's been great already about sharing w/ me. It's nice to be able to shoot decent pics at the same time though. And the switch to digital is great. I would borrow the rebel and his A2 usually we went shooting. It works out good for him too though because he can still use all the stuff he gave me. He'd originally planned on selling most of it.

Now all ya gotta do is get him to give you one or two of his lenses with the RED ring in the front.
