Canon says it was a problem with the camera having a lens on when the firmware was installed (interesting that it's there to FIX a problem of the lens change during standby) I had my Tamron 28-75 on when I did the upgrade (or was it the 100-400L) anyways, has anyone seen a poll of lenses that were used when the firmware was updated?

I'm just curious if it was a problem with the 50mm 1.4 for example...

Adam

P.S. I'll not be upgrading mine as it says those with 1.0.4 already don't need to bother, that there are no changes. I'll wait till 1.0.6 when they introduce constant ISO display on the LCD. :) :) :)

Is this the latest episode of the Sigma Saga? First they stop working on the new bodies, then they crash the firmware update?

The one time that my 20D locked up, I had just changed from the 28-135 f3.5-5.6 IS to the 70-200 f2.8 L.

I left my lens on and had no issues at all and have had none since.

strange goings on. Anyway downloaded the 1.0.5 version this evening and i am off for a two week holiday on Tuesday. You probably can't even imagine how happy i will be if it all goes horribly wrong but i will take my trusty mk11 as that always works!

Are Canon getting as bad as microsoft in releasing stuff that just ain't ready!!!!
