So i had the opportunity to help my friend Aaron shot this event. Weather was told to rain over the weekend, but come saturday, nice clear skies and an awesome mountain with snow on it as a background. Please feel free to CC.
Enjoy.

Well i try my best, i think i still need a lot of practice, I shot 95% of the images with the 70-200 f2.8IS usually i shoot with the 100-400 but i let my friend try it out cause he was thinking of getting one. I have issues panning with the 70-200 f2.8IS for some reason i get better shots with the 100-400 instead.
But anyways thanks for the comment. I was panning 1/50 to 1/80 shutter speeds, i gave a stab at 1/40 and below but failed to grab that many decent shots.

That old school Honda is badass!!! Looks like you had some great weather, and a good turnout of cars.

Hey Sevan, Great stuff! You have definitely improved from your first time at the track.
Thanks for letting me use the 100-400, but I'll probably end up buying the 70-200 2.8 IS. Don't know why you would find a difference panning between the two lenses - maybe a balance thing. I'll let you know when I am shooting another, it would be great to have you join in on the fun.
Wish you could have stuck around later in the weekend for some of the other places I shot at. The rain stayed away until 2pm on Sunday.
Don't intend to steal your thread but I'll share a few shots from some other locations later that day.

Nice Aaron, next round im there the whole thing. Did the ones of the crash come out clean? I knew something bad was going to happen. Need to be on the ball around those things. You have some awesome shots up on the gallery by the way.
