Smithfield Market, London

Afternoon,

Decided to take a few snaps of the Market today, never get around to it, despite working right next to it each day.

Anyway, let me know what you think. All shot with a 20D and 24-70 F2.8 L lens, and processed in both Lightroom and Photoshop.

Yeah nice ... this is just the stuff I would shoot. Was around there a month ago but no camera. There is a good modern pub/bar place that does a great pie and chips. huge place. Maybe you know it. Is quite photogenic inside.

I used to work just round the corner and drank quite often in the Bishop's Finger.

Very nice shots there - crisp and gritty.

The big place is probably the Butcher Hook, (opposite the bishops finger).

I actually work just around the corner from both on Smithfield street.

Nice photos, I like the post processing, very cool. the borders really work well too. I've not been to Smithfield Market as yet.

I've drank plenty at the Butcher's Hook & Cleaver too. Very nice pub.

St Bart's Church is also a good photo opportunity, as is the Old Bailey if there's anything juicy going down in court.

There is very little in the way of crumbly ol' buildings and doors and crap in St Albans and my DSLR gears are getting somewhat rusty these days. I'm supposed to be near Fleet Street for an evening meeting on Tuesday so I may do a bunk off and go shoot the area. PM me if any of you lads are interested. Will only be an hour or two I guess and late afternoonish/early evening.
