Was late going out and waiting to cross the track started out as a hip shooting as I was cought off gaurd :( Camera was not set for exposure yet either

On one hand it is too a point "morbid" on the other hand its what we do, i do wish they were sharper though that was all my fault I was at the point of shoot or run :rolleyes:
Edit: By the way he did have a puncured lung but recoverd fine and finished the race I had acually handed him back his bike I did ask him if he was ok to go ? he couldnt reply more then a gasp of air [crazy]

great captures for being unprepared.... i see you shoot with a 10d as well.... what lens were you using...

Yes I use a 10D still having seperation anxiety moving to a new body. I was using a Tamron XR 3.8 - 5.6 / 28 - 200 mm This track gets so dusty and windy common to see 60 mile an hour . That I cringe taking good lenses out there , But I have taken some rather good shots with the lens the focus is unpredictable alot of the time

Come to find out he did though very small still a hole in the lunger but I dont know for sure what coused the damage . personally I would have hung it up for the day I think

Yea me too busted my sturnum when I did that once myself before they had eficient chest protection that is. It does hurt.

I ALWAYS wear a chest protector, no matter how un-cool they may look. That ugly hunk of plastic has saved me so many times I'm sure!
